If he knew and was a friend then yes kick his a$$ if he wasnt someone you knew but knew about you then let him have her and get revenge on her. Like I said blame her not him, you would probably do the same given the chance.

Just walk away. Don't say a word, she's not worth your time or any space in your brain.
Get your gear and go.
As far as anger how can you blame a dude for trying to get a piece-UNLESS it is a "friend". A former friend would deserve a beating for betraying YOUR trust, but an other-wise stranger no, sorry.
SHE was in the relationship, and if SHE had a pact to be faithful then SHE broke that pact, not the other guy.
Just walk away.
