I was expecting at least 350. wanting 375, and hoping for 400. The dyno guy said "nice numbers" I told him I thought they were ****. We got to talking, and he said it wouldn't be outrageous for the tires to explain a 50 HP loss. That sounded a bit extreme to me, but he told me he went from 17's to 22's on his truck and lost either 25, or 35 hp (dont remember) On my 12 sec runs I was on 28" Hoosier slicks. I dynoed on my 305/70 Mickey Thompson ATZ's. I can attest that they are HEAVY (look everyone I used a BIG word ) They gotta be at least 15-20 lbs heavier than the stock 17's with 32" Buckshots. Next time Im gonna try to get my street tires on there (285/60 16s)
I was gonna "borrow" some tires from another truck that lives here, but when I woke up my back was hurting too bad to even think about swapping tires, so I rode with what I had on the truck

i took it to a mustang dyno which is known to be stingy with the numbers...on a 3rd gear pull unlocked with a unlearned computer i only dropped 277hp 283 tq. 5.3's were putting down numbers close to mine...

thats why i dont trust dyno's. 5.3's droppin numbers so close to my truck on the same dyno but i would hand them their asses in any race i didnt feel too bad when i heard AP's truck only dropped 325 on their dyno in his 12.5 ecsb.
