Default Transmission advice

If the dealership doesn't cover my transmission on warranty what would yall recommend for a built trans as a replacement? I've heard a lot about FLT and others, but are there some good shops locally that are decently priced?

Thanks,
Jake

i got my tranny built here local, my tranny went almost 2yrs before my 3-4 clutches went out last month... so I did not have to rebuild everything just replaced the clutches and it was back up and running, so it was a cheap fix.... pm me if interested..

Check my sig. It is my buddies shop. His prices are the best around on trans. rebuilds, and they know their 4L60's very well.

i talked to performabuilt about what could possibly be wrong and I've got a few parts on the way. it turns out that only 2nd gear is gone, so it's possibly the servo or accumulator. ended up ordering a vette servo and the billet accumulator. i'll see how it goes.
