I'd like to go to see what it's all about, but I'm trying to save some vacation for the end of the year. You ever been to the Thunder Racing Southern Shootout?

It's in Belle Rose, LA. (close to New Orleans) Usually the first weekend in Nov. I believe.

Several of the guys that post in the Southern Section go, so I'm sure there will be more talk about it with specifics and all between now and then. It's bracket style racing, so you don't have to be the fastest to win.

Maybe TnTrk53 will chime in, he's the deffending champ. 2 years in a row.

 

I was planning on going to the race in Ky., but the NASCAR TRUCKS are running in Memphis that weekend. It'll be a night race, a lot cooler than last year. I don't want to miss it.

And yes I love that Southern Shootout in the fall.

What do you drive, looks to me like a Lightning. Any how sounds like you have a 13 second truck. Come on up to Memphis for a test and tune and we can run em. I'm high 13's sometimes.

Is there a Nascar track around your way?

 

I drive a 03 Lightning with a few bolt ons, but still at stock boost. What night does memphis do test and tune? Id love to run the 1/4 to see what itd do. I havnt been on the track since I added the traction bars and drive shaft loop
