Sorry for your loss, my father was an EMT on the local dept for 10 years and has seen a lot of accidents that if someone had ther belt on they Would have been fatal, but in a lot of cases the belt saved lives also. I feel it should our choice whether we wear it or not, its just one of those descions we make every day that could make a difference. Me bieng a big guy i believe i have a better chance with out my belt, but my wife bieng 4-11'' 96 lbs i make her buckle up every time. Its just ashame that things like this happen and take our loved ones from us-My prayers go out to you.

man, I know how this feels and I think about it alot. When I was a sophomore in high school I dated a chick for a while and quit talking to her eventually. My junior year she was driving back from Dallas and ran off the road. She was 17, it was the day before my birthday and it still hurts thinking about it. Songs remind me of the pain, especially "who you'd be today" and as bad as it hurts it does remind me everyday that I should do what I can while I'm here be the best I can be, and that if nothing else when I'm gone people will know I was a good person. I always buckle up, and I'm a really big guy myself i couldnt see a scenario where not wearing one would be safer than wearing one I'm sorry to hear about your brother man, although I could never say enough to make the pain go away for anyone that has gone through this I think we all understand the pain never leaves.

saved my life twice. Neither was my doing. And one was hydroplaning. My condolences on your loss as well. I only have pics of my sister and I feel your pain. Hang in there, morning isn't easy but very necessary!

Yeah, I have heard a few stories where if someone had been wearing their seatbelt, it would have killed them, and vice versa. But you can "if" something to death, when its your time to go, it's your time to go... belted or not..
