Default stick `em up ! - dinner pics - beer chicken

Well here's one nights dinner. Went dove hunting Saturday morning in Los Fresnos, (south Texas) and didn't get enough for a small kid. So we picked up the other birds.

Here's some beer chicken. "Bathe" them in some brew, season, half a beer, keep them "moist" with some veggie oil, . . . and they come out great!

I did the beer can chicken before and loved it. My wife hates when I use beer to cook with. I did find a recipe that you can use what ever pop you like or even make your own steaming sauce. I'm going to have to try it again soon. I did notice that you have a stand for the one on the end. I have to find a couple of those!

Saw this on TV last night and it looked pretty good. Rub the seasoning between the skin & meat and on the inside of the chicken, then take some bacon slices cut in half and stick 1/3rd down the neck hole and drape 2/3rds down the outside and use toothpicks at the top to keep them in place. The bacon fat keeps the bird moist for you while it cooks. Kind of like bacon wrapping a big dove.

Try using an import beer.... Heineken is really good, or even a light amber.
