We discussed several different ideas, and was always going back to the all truck brands. Now, we were also discussing how the race would setup. Several ideas were thrown up into the air, with the first day pretty much being this...The first day would be a series of test and tune, line up with anybody, fine tune setups, grudge matches, etc.

Now, on to how the race would be setup....

1. Normal bracket(my least favorite)- Trucks of all time slips line up on staggered lights determined by dial in. I'm not a huge favorite of this simply because I love to see/race someone that is going to be close to me all the way down the track. I hate getting a staggered light and having someone 2 seconds faster taking off before me. It's a "drivers" race and not really a "performance truck" race.

2. Time slots(now this is closer to what i think we're looking for)- Maybe timeslots in .5 intervals. This would definately depend on the turnout and sponsorships. I could see myself lining up with someone that is .1-.4 faster/slower than me. They better not sleep at the light, spin out of the hole, etc., or they're going to get beat. If you're in that time slot, and you break out, you lose. It seems it would keep the race close, and more pressure knowing that the guy next to you is just as fast.
For the REALLY fast guys, it can be a King of PT.net class, where all of the big dogs can tie up for top honors.

Let us know what kind of race you guys want. I feel that a simple heads up race will not be of interest to majority of guys that run average times, and a normal bracket to me can get rather boring to watch. Racing side by side down the track is the only way to do it, IMO.

Again, this is absolutely nothing in stone...simply getting ideas of what the members would like to see, and what it would have to be to get the members to the track. Location is also up in the air(anywhere would be fine for me because I can't wait for the chance to line up with some members here).

or you could do time slot brackets. that way someone wouldnt get much of a head start so your starting at almost the same time. or heads up in time slots would work. i wont be racing so id like to see either.

I like the timeslot idea. Im sure there are a few low 14 sec trucks I could line up against. Or hopefully be back in the 13's by the time this takes place.

What about N/A vs FI? It would be fun, wierd to start pulling on someone, then they pull past you on the spray.

I guess it will all depend on how many trucks get involved. Tire classes would be nice also, different power adder classes would be good. The easiest way to start would probably with time slot racing, then add classes as more and more people get involved.
