Just call the police and explain the situation. Have them come with him to repo it so there aren't any problems. the person MUST turn over the keys.
He can't get any money back because the car was in his possession while making those payments.
This is on court shows every week.

as Ted said, the police can't do any legal action, but they can accompany you to keep the peace.

This is the definition of Texas. The Great Lone Star State.

Right, moral of story....call the POLICE and SAY you found your STOLEN CAR. Or just go get it in the night and let him say the car was stolen...lol, and you have pink in hand.

Just go get it. Bring a few big dogs and take it back. If he gives your friend any lip, bust it. Tell him I said so.

Police will not do **** in these circumstances!!! Trust me, been there. Have your buddy get someone else to steal it back, that way he has an aliby. Also move the car far away and put it on someone elses property until things cool down. Even though he is in the right and has the title, things can get complicated. Be prepared for that guy to try to get revenge.

Personally, I would repo it with cops present. It's a lot better then having to call them after someone gets shot while trying to repo the car.
2nd option is to go to the courthouse and sue for the car back.

oh thats real good, everything is here say with no paperwork to back it up, that will be a fun day with a pissed off judge.

go to the cops, tell them you already tried to get your car back, things expolded real fast so you left.
first thing the cops will do is run the person to see if any warrents our out on him, then they will go with you to get your car.

personaly, if i had a spare key, i would just walk over and drive it back home.

well he called the police to get a escort, they said it is a civil case eventhough no paperwork was filled out. so now the guy has 10 days to pay my friend the rest of the money or give back the car, then if he does not my friend has to pay $95 bucks to file a lawsuit then it gets taken to court for them to decide. pretty shitty if you ask me

Even when he loses the case he will not surrender the car.
