i got the tru-cool 2800 gvw and it stays around 160* unless i romp on it alot. it never goes over 200. 1/2 the price and gets the job done. i dont like the whole tranny never warming in the winter idea. i drove from huntsville to spring in the winter and it never heated with the 2800.

I never had any problems even when I lived in Northern Alabama, the trans temps still got up to 140ish according to my escy cluster and thats without the bypass. I dont really see needing it honestly.

I'm running the 40,000GVW from bulkpart with no external bypass. I haven't had any problems. I have mine routed through the factory radiator fittings, so that helps warm the fluid during the cooler months.

You shouldn't have any problems in Houston.
