i have had my eye drilled once and was out of work about a week
i was in a jacket leg doing some grinding and welding

Did you try the magnet trick, a la Tim the Tool man Taylor? I always keep my glasses in the overhead pocket but have to admit that I don't always wear them.

i'm required to wear safety glasses at work at all times and its kinda carried over to my home. got to rush my buddy to the ER at 1:30 in the morning because a piece of metal flew back in his eye as we were beating the hell out of a 4-wheeler axle...he had no insurance at the time...try that one on for size...i foget what the bill was but it wasn't pretty.
