Easier to work on my bench/tailgate than upside down, under the truck.
Just saw that you have a new advatar. I might be looking for a new guy at the shop soon!

Ha Ha! You build 'em, I paint 'em. Not bad for paint in a can. Don't think wifey wants to live where the temps drop below 25 degF. She don't like when the South gets below 50 degF.

Rebuilds aren't rocket science. The art is rebuilding it stronger. That's my goal.

I usually pull the trans off w/ help from my dad's floor jack that's also low on hydaulic fluid. The TC gets removed before the trans comes from under the truck. Minimal fluid spillage. Maybe, one day, I'll buy a couple sets of vehicle ramps. I can only assume there's greater safety with those as opposed to jack stands (possibility of tilt-overs).

Hope your trans is good.

I've had to pull a 4L80 out of my 95 diesel truck by myself, in a gravel driveway, with no tranny jack, in January. Top that!!!!
Took a whole weekend just to change a flywheel. Hopefully I'll never have to do that again.
My next big job might have to be an engine swap in a van. Is it as hard as it looks?

nonnies... fortunately, my TC still good (knock on wood). Drove the truck pretty lightly for a few minutes. I'll take it out later to REALLY see what it can do on a wide open road. Hopefully, it holds up. I will say that the 1-2 shift is a bit surprising, and the shock factor is AWESOME. That only happens at wide open throttle. It's easier at part throttle. If I decide to take it out yet again, I'll remove on of the two washers I put in.

I'm charging batteries for my wife's digi-cam. I'll get some video of some WOT driving. Maybe I'll pick up a passenger for the ride, and they can film it for me.

Ok I think I just got car sick. No sound for me but it looked like the tach was snapping pretty good.

Well, I'll be damned... Streetfire killed the sound. I'll try PutFile when I get home this evening. Sorry guys.
