Good to see a few of us getting a little more active. I was loosing interest when I burnt #7 piston. When I rebuilt, I went with an improved rod/piston combo and shaved the heads, but went back to a stock cam and swapped from the 3200 stall to a trailblazer converter. Then she caught on fire. Got my hopes back up when I was gonna get the insurance check and build a LS2 block 402. Unfortunatly the wicked witch of the east sences when things improve for mr and drags me back through custody court, so my funds went to my attorney and I watched the white horse ride away. My 08 is too much of a heavy pig and had a 100k mile warranty, and my little Dakota beat me to death and I'm not a mopar guy anyway, so I pretty much got out of it with only a tune and some long tubes and a muffler on the 08.
A couple of months ago I came across a '99 RCSB for a hell of a price so I picked it up almost a month to the day ago and been making a slow paced project out of my new "work truck".
I got the trans out this am to swap a trailblazer converter and do a shift kit, last week I picked up a 6l for it, and am sloooowly trying to gather parts for the 80e swap.
Feels good to be back in the game even if I am "taking it slow"

My truck has been torn apart for paint for over a year, but I still drop in from time to time and see whats up. Glad to see you guys are still in the game so to speak. I have parts on the ground waiting when the paint is done!

Other than my tune and exhaust I've been keeping the tbss pretty much stock(just seems to be too nice to start screwing with). I'm often tempted to put alittle shot of gas on it, but I've never been one to use a "little" shot. The stock gm transmissions still scare the hell out of me.

No -- but I am going to deck the heads a little bit and port and polish them and the intake, add a high flow exhaust and 1 piece stainless valves and shim the springs. I may do a cam later on but right now Im just gonna do head work and exhaust
