well were trying to pick a track to have the meet at.
if we decide HRP then all the mississippi guys will not want to attend because of the long drive and if we decide NPR all the texas guys will cry about needing trailers. JFWY

It doesn't freeze down here anyways!
Puss! You don't want Jan. because you won't be ready by then.
Hell, I'll pull that thing to the track! That's the only way it will go anywhere anyways!
What's the real deal anyways?? Too close to finish it?
Anyways, I vote HRP!
We had a decent turn out when I posted to have one there last Nov of 2005.
If you guys want, we can do a NPR GTG this Jan, but there needs to be a mandatory big HRP meet in March!
What you guys think?

I'm up for a meet wherever as long as it doesn't interfere with work. NPR is close to me. I've been to Ms. before, so it's no biggie and I missed the Tx. one because of work. we just have to face the facts, Louisiana guys are willing to travel to Tx. or Ms., but those crossing two states really won't make it and it's understandable. For the "Big" GTG they will probably have to be at NPR where everyone can make it. Of course not everyone has time and can afford the gas and hotel rooms.
As for the Houston guys whining, I see posts all the time where they complain about having to go to the other side of Houston... I'm not holding my breath that they'll show to a meet in their own city (this doesn't apply to all, just most). If you aren't willing to travel then posting in this thread is pointless. The Ms. guys have showed faith before in traveling, Louisiana guys have traveled to both and only v8 from Texas made the last meet, which was disappointing that no one else joined him in the road trip.
No body is obligated to do anything, but those who choose to miss are the one's missing out b/c it's a blast to meet some of these people and have a good night racing.

I think March is a better time for it than January, and a lot of people didn't show up at the last gtg because of the change in dates.Crossing two states would be a long trip.I live in LA. but have a sister wo lives in Katy TX who would love me to visit her.

How did spam mail get in here???I drive from one end of Houston to the other 5 days a week.
I'm not scared of a drive. I like road trips!
LA is not far anyways.
That GTG meet wasn't posted for that long anyways.
I started a GTG a year ago or so and we had a good turn out. I posted a meet 4-5 months prior. That's how you get a good turn out.
Posting now for a March meet would be the best thing to do. The Jan GTG will not get much of a turn out due to being right after all of the holidays.
I vote to CAN the Jan meet and look foreward to a big March meet!
I see you guys crying about us not coming to your track, but I haven't seen you guys show much at HRP. Works both ways.
Anyways, if the March GTG will be at NPR, then a HRP event will need to be in the works for the next one.
Hell, we'll pick a date in our summer heat for you guys to come and melt in!
Jim
