Default Need some honest opinions

Cliff notes: me and the apt complex arent getting along, I want a house SOON

If I finish off my truck the way I want it will take me till the end of the summer to pay for everything. If I just throw the 6L I got sitting in the garage in teh truck with the 317s I have and put the sts kit on it and leave my fully built 65e in there I can have it up and running in about 3 weeks and it will only cost me about a grand which I already have. Then with my tax return I can pay off most of my CC debt and some of my bike loan. And between now and Aug(lease is up then) I could honestly save probably 4K. What should I do. I now officially HATE my apt complex with a passion. I could afford 1300ish worth of bills by myself(mortgage and utilities etc) a month and still have money to play with(not much but some) and have a little padding. What Im wondering is, can I get a decent house for that much. I have a company truck so I dont pay gas unless I want to(personal vehicle), my truck is paid for so I only have a bike note.

What would you do?

BTW here is a link to a more in depth view of my financial situation in a thread I posted over on SSU asking for help.

I would finish the 418 blah blah stuff later on once I got settled in my house, this apt complex is just really eating me up right now and I cant stand living here anymore.

Read about the apt situation elsewhere. That sucks! When I moved into my old apt, you couldn't have more than two vehicles, and no designated parking spaces. Couldn't even work on a vehicle (change oil, brakes, etc). Neighbors blocking me in at night, and all causing issues in the morning. If you ran to the store at night, good luck finding a space when you got back. Between that and noise due to thin walls, a mortgage sounded more and more like heaven.

GET A HOUSE! IT'S WORTH EVERY PENNY!

I would sell the bike and stick with the 418 in the truck.

Im thinking the EXACT same thing man. I would go ahead and put the 418 in but I know it would kill the 65e and I dont want to have to pay for a rebuild and mess with the house plans. I think with my 3Kish tax return will work better for me getting a house then an 80e and L92 heads. The manager had to have the maintenance guy escort me out cause I was getting so pissed. Hopefully I dont have an eviciton notice on my door tomorrow

I coudl put the 418 in it right now I have all the stuff to do it just not the drivetrain to support the power a turbo 418 would make. Right now I dont give a **** about the truck all I care about is getting my own place and not having to be bossed around by anyone.

Don't you have a company truck for a second transportation? If so sell the bike, buy a cheap house with a garage that you can fix up over a couple years, finish school and flip it and buy something nice later. Warning: If you buy a house and there is a woman involved she is going to want to spend all your extra cash on fixing it up or decorating right away.

How much is it going to cost you to put the 6.0 in the truck? And how much for the 418? And if you put the 6.0 in how much of that money is going to be wasted by not putting the 418 in the first place? I feel you man when it comes to apt. they are hell. Its like being in jail.

Problem selling the bike is that it has a salvage title form TN since the gauge cluster got broke and it is scratched up due to someone keying it so no one wants it even though it runs and rides perfect. Its only 145 a month for it so its not that big of a deal. And yes I have a company truck to get to and from work and run any errands short of driving to Houston to visit family or something. Im going to start house hunting tomorrow. I know my GF is going to want ot fix it up and all that but it will ahve to wait. I got a buddy who's lease is up in Aug also and would move in with me so that would help with bills also. The more I think about it the more I think Im going to do it for sure. Just need to get a few things in order.

sorry man just trying to bring some light to the situation. But i say go for it, just as long as you have some buds that might move in if need be. And of course the money is there. But at the same time you dont want to be house broke, but thats what the other people in the house would be for if need be.
