How's the lower unit. Do you have to change the oil after each season?

Retired from full-on racing the Z since ya got to 12s, and now you looking to have the lightest, fastest surface drive canoe ever. That's a coonass if I ever saw one.

Good thing you took a picture of it while it was still new. I'm thinking if he drives it like his truck, it will never look the same after the first time out.

There really isnt a lower unit. the engine drives a belt that drives the drive shaft that turns the prop. Thats it. The only oil is the engine oil.


Which brings me to a question thats been bothering me for some time now. Why is it called motor oil when you use it in an engine, not a motor??
