Hurricane Flo!! Here in NC
Eastern NC on the coast here, got the truck tucked away for this damn Hurricane!! Had planned on building my th400 to throw in the mustang this weekend, looks like that won’t be happening. Had to stay and stick it out with the storm. NCDOT life lol. Good luck to anyone else on the coast and be safe guys!!!

Bother be safe and good luck, I feel for ya and every one over your way, I'm about 50 miles from the gulf of Mexico close to Mobile Al and rode them all out since 1979 and it's just a royal pain in the ***!

I'm 20 miles south of Charlotte and the panic is is full mode here. All but two filling stations are out of fuel and the grocery store shelves have been picked clean in my small town. We're only expecting 40MPH winds with around 5 inches of rain and people think it's the end of the world. The coastal areas are no doubt gonna get hammered so stay safe down there. I was 32 when Hugo blasted through Charlotte in 1989 with 90+ winds, spawned tornado's and torrential rains. I think that's why many old timers panic when they listen to the local news and memories of that once in a lifetime storm resurface.

hopefully it keeps dying down! Our area is still going to get a decent storm surge though

It's coming directly over us by morning albeit with only tropical storm winds and around 6 inches of rain. It's moving slowly at 3MPH so it's gonna be a 48 hour deal. Just finished grilling all the fresh meat in the fridge in case of a power outage. Got plenty of food and more importantly... beer

Hope all is well NC03GT. I'm south of Charlotte, glad it died down. We got lucky and haven't lost power yet (knock on wood). My mom, sister and aunts lost power last night. Keep us posted and stay safe

Hey guys!! we faired out well and were very lucky, we had a few trees come down and only a few shingles lost but no leaks and we lost power for 7 days. My parents and my gf's parents didn't come out as good. My parents place was a total loss, and her parents lost the roof and a bunch of water damage to the ceilings. Flooding was the worst anyone has ever seen in the area. But we are fortunate that we are all alive and in good health. I work for NCDOT and we have been working 12hr shifts everyday since Friday and they plan to work us this weekend possibly as well. Most of the days are starting to blur together lol!!!! Its a mess here and its going to take awhile to recover from this one on the coast!!!
