long story short, management was tryin to work me on the day shift, when i told them when i got hired, that i go to school in the mornings, and absolutely could not work days, then, i was due for my $1.00 raise three weeks ago, and they gave me a $.25 raise yesterday, with no back pay from when i was originally going to get it and they denied they ever told me about a $1.00 raise, when the other guy that started the same time as me got his dollar raise ON the date they told him he would. that was insulting, especially after going way out of my way doing double the work i was supposed to, just to give my boss a good impression. the conversation turned into a yelling match, and my boss beat me to the punch line. he told me i was fired before i could yell i quit. that is the short version. tip for everyone, DO NOT WORK FOR GREAT WESTERN METALS!!! if anyone is hiring machinists, let me know

thats a big 10-4! it was a super laid back job, i cut all kinds of cool stuff, like nitrous panels, guage panels, i cut panels for NASA out of some kinda "top secret" material for the space shuttle & stuff. pretty neat. all the overtime i wanted, but oh well. now back on topic, im still gonna see if i can come up with some money to make it out to the track & hang out.

 

so whose all in? im be leaving around 6:30 so i can get a nap in and let some traffic die down
