dunno...
I had the truck in the right lane(had made all the other passes in the left lane)
got up to the line, and stalled it up to 3400RPM's.
waited for the tree to come down, got the green, and launched..
and boy did it
( probably one of the hardest it has done.. felt real good on the initial take off) .
launched, and then it started to huckle buck.. like I was hitting the rev limiter, but not quite the same. it was like something was turning the fuel off and on about 3 times.
got out of it.. let it coast for a second, and then like anyone else would do, I got back into it..
it took off, no problems,, shifted into 2nd, and then went to shift into 3rd, and .................................................. ................
nothing....
it was like I was in neutral...arggg...WTF!!!!!
coasted off the track, and gave it a little gas.. it would move, but felt like it was stuck in 2nd gear..
got it back to the pits..
yanked the slicks off put my street tires back on, and packed it up, and went home..
took it reall easy on it, on the way home..
it shifted thru all the gears, and the Converter even locked up(which is what I thought I might have broke)..
noticed my cruise control didnt work..
parked it in the garage.
scanned the PCM.. no codes.
except for what I posted in the PCM section..

anyways drove it Sat, and Sunday, and no problems.. I even romped on it a few times, and it drives like nothing happened???

From my previous experience with trannys ( 7 working on #8) I had something similar happen to me like that. I took it to my tranny guy and he bitched me out because i never did a tranny fluid and filter flush
. All he did in both occasions is change the filter and fluid and vuala..... problem solved. If u havent changed the fluid and filter lately u might wanna give it a try its probably the cheapest to do right now (if not under warranty of course) what happens which u probably already know is that the filter picks up a bunch of trash thus limiting the amount of fliud going into the pump causing a minor slip. When u turn the truck off the debris from the filter falls to the bottom of the pan. Thats probably why u were able to drive it home the next time u cranked it on... but I dont know just a thought.
