So what exactly does this BB Mod do?
does it keep the thermostat open just enough to let more coolant through, therefore running a few Degs cooler???

When you take it apart, youll notice a littlt tit on the back of the thermostat. This is some type of metal (I dont remember what its called) as it heats up, it expands and opens the thermostat. When you put the BB behind it (there is a place it fits) it opens faster. If you use a spacer thats too big though it wont close all the way.

Copper don't rust. It may be soft enough to distort a bit? Thanks for the tech tip.

The copper ones will work just fine, thats what I used on my friends truck and its been in over a year and he's having no problems. After all, remember back in the day when all radiators were using copper cores??

Like someone else said copper wont rust, but it will scale to some degree but its a surface corrosion that wont eat away at it.

Then again, the BB itself is steel and the copper or zinc coating keeps it from rusting. Im addicted to my red rider!
