Nope. I will be there in the afternoon. Maybe catch some of the American LeMans series too. I plan on getting a paddock pass to see some of the cars/crews up close.
The digital camera will make the trip with and empty memory card.
If I get some good stuff I'll post it in the media section.
The back to front straight is long, 190 mph long.
At least thats what the traps show in practice. The Champ car website shoes the entire course. I predict wrecks in turns 2 and 3.
I thought the last time they had it was several years ago. Last one I remember was downtown in 1998 or 99. I could hear if from my college campus.

Holy **** that was cool!!!!
Holy **** that was loud.
Holy **** them bitches were fast.
170 mph at the end of the straight. TV doesn't do the volume justice, back fires between shifts are violent. They need scatch and sniff TV cause that race fuel exhaust was sweet goodness.
My digital camera couldn't get any decent pics of the champ cars even when they were on a pace lap. I did get some good shots of the Le Mans and GT series cars in the paddock. I'll put em up at some point. Check this out for other stuff.
