I drove from Northern AL to Birmingham(100+miles) with open headers its not that big a deal.

I got Allen to tune it up a bit runs a little better and the idle speed is lower I have a screwed lifter I believe its not the rockers. It comes and goes and has the definate metallic tick of a lifter. So Im stuck. Im thinkin of doing a cam, spring, seal, t-chain, oil pump, and maybe even head swap in a couple of months and just replace everything. Im going to get my wideband hooked up and get Allen to do some more tweaking it seems the passenger side bank is running lean if it cant be fixed tomorrow I highly doubt Ill run it and take the chance of frying the motor totally.

BTW Allen said he is really thinkin about comin down for the GTG but he is leaving his laptop at home

Im not bringing the truck. We are taking my girl friends truck. I killed a lifter last night on the way down to SAR to meet up with Allen I was going to go ahead and limp it down there but it sounds like I have a damn solid lifter with a half inch of lash on it The truck is going to be down for atleast 3 months this time Im going to buy a beater before I start messing with it again so its going to take a while to get the funds to fix it the way I want to. Ill still be out there just not in my truck. I know Im going to catch so much **** from this its not even funny but when I get back to Austin Ill take a vid of my ticking time bomb.

Stan's Sotex is located in the older part of Tomball. It is off of 2920 and Chesnutt right behind a Mineke. i'll look for their business card to find their exact address.
