Until a good tune comes out they will keep getting underestimated. I know, I know...SCT is "supposedly" out to the dealers & stuff but UNTIL I see that its available to EVERYONE & it actually shows dyno proven good gains over superchips then I'm not even gona let SCT cross my mind. There is a big hyped up thing going on on dodgetalk.com right now about woo hoo SCT this & SCT that... I'm just not seeing the craze myself. Not until there are PROVEN results on an EVERYDAY driver like mine & not just some stroker motor. I want to see gains on a realistic truck that most of us have & not just some stroker motor that I will never have

 

im about to get mine tune with sct the only problem there having is with 05's but the 04 and 06 are working great so im gonna post something on DT.com once its tuned

 

Hell, post something here! I know that this seems like a GM Board, but a lot of us know somebody with a Dodge who might be interested. I don't have a Dodge but I'd still be interested!

 

well SCT finally came out with software to finally give the hemi a custom tune its been availible for the 5.7 cars and all SRT's but as for the HEMI trucks the 03 hemi's pcm is alot differnet so no chance for the 03's for a while, but as for the 04's there are a couple of them that have the tune and have had no problem ( in one case a rc/sb hemi 4x4 with LT, 6.1L hemi cam, 5.7 cnc heads, intake, gained an addition 67 rwhp & 93 rwtq with sct) as for the 05 sct is kinda having some issues but only minor and it should be anyday now it should work kinda waiting for my friend daytona hemi and for 06 they have had no issue, as for torque mang.. i think they finally found a way to get rid of it

there is still some thing that they need to get done to do for us as custom tuning does for chevys, like tire height, rev limiter(over 6300) and i believe thats it some stuff i cant remember, but i think this will be good for us hemi's especially me with the cam i have but if tuning is good i will get a bigger cam once i get heads.......any more ??????? i'll try to get ya answers

My Gosh.... thats moving, my buddy has givin up on his truck. We built a 355ci and put it in a Monte Carlo. So now the Ram is just a Tow truck..

 

believe me i've had alot of headache with my truck surging at red lights, turning off, but now with this tune hopefully it will work cause right now my friend with an 05 same year as mine is haveing issues and it hasnt left the shop cause now it wont start and its a 05 thing so im gonna wait until his is tuned right before they touch mine

 

So the problems that you are seeing are with the superchips tune and you haven't done the SCT tune yet?

 

Superchips on these trucks is just a canned tune. You cant really go in & change that much like SCT will be able to do

 

YEAH ALL I HAVE RIGHT NOW IS SUPERCHIPS WITH A SMT-6 PIGGYBACK TO CONTROL THE A/F RATIO BUT NO POWER IS GIVEN WITH THIS, BUT LATER I WAS TOLD THAT SMT-6 REALLY ONLY WORKS ON SUPERCHARGED, AND TURBO SO THATS EXPLAINS WHY ITS NOT WORKING, BUT IM JUST WAITING ON MY FRIEND HEMI TO GET TUNED AND IF EVERYTHING GOES WELL IM GETTING MY TUNED
