It was starting to get dry over here pretty bad too, but we got lucky and had that tropical depression come over us last Friday and dump 3+ inches. That should finish us up for the year unless it just gets crazy hot.

Our corn has cut REALLY good this year. Most every farmer here dropped all of their cotton acres and went to corn anyway. We caught just enough yearly rain to make this a great crop year. What sucks is the amount of grain crops in this area is just too much for the grain elevators to keep up with.....they're maxing out and most people haven't even started on their beans and rice yet.
It's really going to be hell getting these crops out of the fields since they're all coming off at the same time. I feel for them.

we're averaging 70bushells on our soybeans so far on my family's farm.. and the cotton is lookin pretty sweet this way so far too.... looks like its gonna be a good christmas after all!
