That also means that the oil company is now paying less for the crude oil they refine. Less expense leads to bigger savings (or profits). If their refined fuel output is at the same rate (quantity, not price), then their saving money on the front end which is what the media advertises as "profits". Trust when I say that the government (local AND federal) is taxing EVERY oil refining company in the business. Most people don't hear about that aspect of refining.

Just something to think about. If they are making record profits, they are also pay record taxes.

It's like going from making $50K a year to making $70K a year. You are making more profit for the same work. You are also paying more taxes. You can't hate someone for that.

You should be mad at the speculators, lol.

Just my 2 cents.

yeah it is a screw job.
cost gos up price gos up but when cost is less hold off on lowering the price as long as you can.
just so your thinking clear, we are useing less gas then last year.
about 800 thousand barrels less a day, now what is odd is that no surplus
of gas is building to help lower the price.
our demand has droped, our supply was increased and no build up of stock
is happening.

whats wrong with this picture.
i always thought when you have more coming in then what you have going out you build up a supply.
