Gas For 2.25 A Gallon Only In Houston

Chevron (older gas station) outside of my subdivision is $0.12/gal higher than the Texaco (3-month old station) 0.25 miles on the other side of the interstate. I go to save the 12 cents per gallon... and have used both station's gas in my vehicles with no problems.
I'd have to catch the $2.xx /gal gas on my commute to work (if BR stations were to do that). No one is at the stations near me @ 5am.

my first job out of college was pricing gasoline for a distributor here in houston. chevron is the only company with its own rack to pull fuel from. everyone else has the same gasoline. to me it seems like they keep a better eye on quality control,
