Default Finally took the truck NA to the Track

Well I let my brother talk me into taking the truck to the track naturally aspirated. The turbo's are sitting on the spare motor right now just sitting there until I get the new bracket/accessories and new air box.

Anyway.......so I'm driving/tuning the truck cuz I needed it to drive being the other car broke down.

So now that you have the story.......went to the track on my primitive DFI programming and it actually seem to do surprisingly well. My first run was on normal tires and it ran a 14.40 @ 102 w/ 3.0+ 60 footer. So I went ahead and bolted on the 28x13.50 ET's and for the rest of the night it turned low 13.40's @ 105 w/ 2.10+ 60 footers. Truck weighs in a 4040 with me in it and a full tank of gas. The factory stall wasn't helping me at all. Tried to stall it up and it just pushed me through the lights.

So on the next tranny rebuild......I'll go ahead and pick up a stall. Figure once I pic up the wideband and play a little more.......I can pick up a little more.

Thanks. The motor is a 383 that I built for my twin turbo's. It's a 9.2:1 motor with Brodix Track 1 heads and an Accel Pro Ram with 42# injectors controlled by an old 6.32 Accel DFI. Hopefully it won't be NA too much longer......but I guess it's fine while I'm working on body, paint and rear suspension.

We were out at Baytown. It was actually a pretty nice night.

I'll be shooting for 9.50's with the twins.......but I've got a lot of work to do to the rear suspension before that happens.

Once I put the next tranny an converter in.....I'm hoping to see around 12.80's NA with a little more programming. Hopefully I'll have that in by March. So we'll see how it goes. They're having a get together down here in Houston that I would like to have the truck presentable for.....but again...we'll see how that goes........lol
