You cannot do a 4.005. You will need to go 4.035 to keep up with the other trucks in town


Just messin wit ya. if you are not going to line bore it or torque plate hone it, any decent shop can clean, hone, polish, and balance.

x2 on EFI Alchemy They do engine, trans, tunes, and custom installs. Everyone there really seems to know their stuff.

Can't go wrong with Proline, when I still bracket raced they did my sbc and it held up to a LOT of abuse.

I just noticed this thread. I know you don't have your 4.8 anymore, which I'm assuming is what you wanted machined, but Proline is awesome nonetheless. I know of a few small engine builders here and there that would be much cheaper, but if cost isn't an a big deal, Tim Lynch is an awesome machinist.
