Default Dyno Day

I went to a dyno day saturady at Conley Performance Plus out on 1960. I was actually impressed with my number. They didn't measure torque but i rated 226.50 so i think i did pretty decent for a stock 4.8l how 'bout yall.

Sounds pretty good as far as your power is concerned.

They didnt give you a chart with a curve? Torque curve....? I would be disappointed that you didnt get TQ numbers and a curve.

I got a chart but i can't figure this crazy thing out. They didn't measure torque. He said something about it taking to long to hook up to the tach or some crap like that.

Yea im happy with mine. 255/70/16's on it last week and dispite a slow leak (free tires i can't complain), and it made the S.O.B. lose its mind. Or at least they come loose at a 30 roll now. Go figure.

Thats really strong for a 4.8L.
I have seen at the higest actually a stock 5.3L put down 245.3 to the wheels.Thats the higest i ahve seen its not uncommon for a 5.3L to put down 225 ish on the dyno.So i'd say your off to a good strong start.

Well thank you. I just figured that was about normal for em. My last truck was a dodge short wide with a 318 and well. I will never regret buying a chevy. DOn't get me wrong i loved my dodge but damn this things scary sometimes.

Good numbers man, that is not bad.
I have my truck down in my sig and also a 03 Tahoe with a 5.3 and my tahoe dyno 243rwhp bone stock and 273rwtq.I was shocked that it put those TQ numbers down. Then I loaded my tune I did whch I only did an 87 tune for it at the time and gained an additional 13rwhp and 12rwtq.After the 87 tune it put down at peak 256rwhp and 285rwtq.The curve was flatter than with the stock tune which is also very important to look at,not just peak.I need to get this thing back on the dyno with my 93 tune,it is alot stronger though.
I could not beleive my tq numbers though period. It is bone stock even with a paper filter except for my tune.
good numbers though man.Now get some mods on that thing and you wil be suprised what that little motor can do with good mods.
