tell me about it... the ol lady was with me when it happened. it took about an hour for the tow truck to get there 'cause I called one from my hometown. we're sitting on the side of the interstate & she's talking all this BS about it only happened because I'm lowered. She likes 'em lifted. I don't think it's cause I'm lowered but I'll tell you this, I won't have another lowered truck, I have to jack it up to change the oil, it rides like **** & I'm tired of it.

I'm thinking about going 265/50/20 up front & 285/50/20 in the rear & raising it up a little.

Bumpers, I need you to ride in mine & tell me if DJM LCA's ride better than this.

the guy that did my gears said I was 8* up, I put in 6* shims & that fixed my vibration at hard launches & around 55-60MPH. As long as you didn't go faster than 75-80MPH. anything higher than that & I got a bad vibration.

I hit like 80MPH on the interstate & it vibrated, then stopped for a second & I let off. A few minutes later, I went up to 85-90MPH to see if it was just vibration from 80-90MPH & at 90, it popped.

I guess it could have been worse. I have some scuffs on the gas tank shield & a few on the trans hump. No dents or anything.

I think I'm gonna get shafted (no pun intended) on buying a driveshaft from a junk yard

everyone buys their 2-piece from the junkyards. Niff has one on his and Skipperdaddy has one taking up space in his shed. I will eventually get me one from the junkyard. but you cant just throw the 2-piece in and be done.

you need to check the angle on the shaft and the rearend and they need to be the same or within 3degrees of eachother...

It could have been alot worse lol... Luckly aluminum shafts crumble like a beer can once they are dented or anything they usually dont do much dammage... a steel shaft on the otherhand will destroy alot of stuff...

When you put the new shaft in look to make sure when the other come out that it didnt crack the tail housing on the trans... when mine went it broke the transfercase off the transmission lol

so I'm thinking back about everything I've read on these driveshafts & how it's vibrated at 75-80MPH ever since I put 4.10s in. I've taken it to 100 several times since the gear swap though. yesterday when it did it, I got up to 80 & it was vibrating & then completely stopped for a second. i fell back to around 70 for a few miles, then sped up & it started vibrating at 75 again & I went to 90 & then it popped.
