If the case has been settled, you paid the fines and all is done...I dont see how they could legally bring anything back up because your car was damaged while impounded. The charges were filed and you did what was asked to resolve them, they can't so "Oh yea? Well, we'll charge you with some more **** since you want to file a claim" That is 100% bullshit. I say consult a lawyer and take pictures tonight of everything. They don't get to rape your property and screw you because they "let you off the hook" on some fines. That stage of stage of the process is over. Now you're in the "You F'd up my car" stage. The previous reason for the impound is not relevant.(sp?)
