I know a few LQ9 trucks running around on teh stock 4L60e transmission with the Transgo Jr. shift kit installed in them lasting for a very long time. Each one also had a transmission cooler in it as well. Just keep your head on straight and you'll be fine.....no TM though will hurt it at a faster pace. However, all of these transmissions have 70k max on them so mileage also cause a breakage from just being weak.

Yeah...ouch. LOL. I always leave about 5% to 10% depending on amount of torque the engine makes in the transmission. Haven't had an issue with one I've done so....that includes a Trailblazer SS as well.

well I cant say for sure but when i pulled the motor the trans didnt look nearly as old as it should to have that kind of mileage. It may or may not be that high. Possibly has been changed. The stock converter appeared to be brand new which makes me think it got a reman at some point. engine was all nasty and oily underneath...trans wasnt nearly as nasty. wishfull thinking.....yeah...but its a great possibility.

Im not saying this tuner that tuner. Im just saying that i dont think I will have any issues as long as I dont dog the thing. Im gonna do the cooler this weekend and will likely do a shift kit soon. I did the servo already. I know these things wont make it handle the power like a 80 would but it will help.
