Default Bad time to Buy a New 06' Truck?

You guys think it is a bad time to buy an 06 GM Truck considering the NBS 07's aren't too far down the road? I have a killer deal worked out on an 06 RCSB 5.3 Sierra and am trying to finalize my decision. Just don't want to buy it and a month from now they come out w/ some bad *** incentives to get rid of the remaining 06's......

Opinions needed............

i think its a good time. they NBS are due out pretty soon. but remember there will always be a better deal . no matter when you buy it. when i got my truck i got a real good deal. then 2 weeks later they came out with the employee discount. so...there will always be better. just get the best deal possible at the time.

I wouldn't wait too long cause someone else might want a 06 and not a 07 and take your truck for a great deal

what keeps me from seriously wanting to buy a new truck/car when they are first released is it seems like they always make an improvement a year or two into production. like 99 5.3 trucks with crappy computers and only 275 hp vs 01 better computers and 285 and then so on and so forth. same way when the new camaro comes out. i'm gonna sit on the sidelines and wait till any issues are worked out then buy one. the aftermarket will be stronger as well

I don't think that any incentives, if offered, will be that much. The "New" '07 will be a late release and early "'07"'s will be "classic" trucks (same as current body style). Go with what you want in the end, anyone else's opinion is just that.

I'm thinking real seriously about getting an 06 Silverado RCSB 5.3 myself. I found one not too far from me, so I may be getting rid of the 04 GMC ECSB. I think a RC would be much more fun. Just trying to see what type of deal they'll make, but the incentives for the 06's are much better right now.

I say an 06 since we know almost anything made for 03-05 vehicles will fit it, not too sure how the 07 will turn out and how long it will take for appearance and performance parts to come out for it
