i didn't run my truck because it's slow and would have looked stupid around all those fast cars

 

there was 4 pewter trucks there that ran and none of them got any attention

 

pewter...thats the problem...its acolor ppl over look. personally pewter to me is a plain jane color

 

well my truck is victory red and it sticks out everywhere but i didn't race

Fossil by far had the cleanest/most attention getting setup there. Clean *** engine bay with a 408/l76 intake setup, wires all clean and hidden, tires that didn't stick out, caltracs, and clean *** cage/interior setup. He drew a pretty good crowd all weekend when the hood was up. My would only draw attention when it was idling with the cutouts open.

 

That probably would have done it.

 

What was fossil best time? Sounds like a nice setup.

 

I plan to get some attention next year. I had a good time and it was nice to see some old friends and meet some new ones. Unfortunately I just got the truck running the night before driving up and didnt have time to have everything ready to race. We wil definately get a group up for Hatti later in the year when the cool weather gets here.

The best I saw Sunday morning was a 11.99 letting out in the traps (index race) but dont know what he did later in the day. I looked at the log of one of his passes on Sat and he definately has a little more in it with a little tweaking of the tune. Very nice setup for sure.

btw... are you running a stock frame/leaf suspension or is it backhalfed? That stance looks amasing! I would like to go to a wheel/tire setup similar to that on mine.
