Just got these today from Jim wolf technolgies for my 05 Nissan titan..
It has DOHC so 4 cams total.. anyone have experience installing these? i really don't trust the dealership..

 

what kind of gains are you expecting out of these camshafts?

 

probably 45-50 hp minimum

the stock cam profiles are soooo ****** tiny it's pathetic to even think they wouldve used them in a v-8 motor. jim wolf posted a dyno on his website with a totally stock truckshowing 30-35hp 40 tq gains in the 3800-5200 power region (this is where the titan dies in the top end cause it cant breath)

I should get even better gains than this being im fully modded with longtubes, jba catback exhaust, cold air intake and being custom tuned my throttle body doesnt close at 5200 rpms so i should definatly see way better gain than what thier stock truck put down

 

If I was around you, I'd help out. I'd be interested to see the gains you get out of a cam swap and your other mods.

 

this really saddens me not one person is following thru with this, called 5 diffrent performance shops everyone of them said sure we can do it for around 500.. some call me back the next day ( some dont call me back at all) saying nevermind we can't do it, such bullcrap.. don't any mechanics still work on cars or area all of them pussies that like just doing simple bolt ons..
This is what i think of performance shops......

in short review i got 1,200 bucks worth of cams sitting in a box when they should be sitting inside my motor by now.. surely someone knows a person who has some experience with dohc motors

 

I'd be willing to help if my own projects weren't starting to pile up on me. I have a tranny to install, another tranny to build and install, and a 408 to build install and tune. Plus the wife would shoot me if I took on another project. Sorry buddy.

BTW what are you gonna do about tuning? I have a couple buddies w/ titans I'm trying to talk into doing some performance mods to.

uprev in austin tx does all my custom ecu tuning.. i have their data logging software which flashes my rom with the tunes that they send me.. by me datalogging a few 0-60 runs after i get my cams installed they will be able to tweak my a/f ratio and put me back at 12.6 to 12.8 @wot
