Any one ever been attacked??

Glad you OK, bro!
I came to my first floor apartment once (in like 1990) and there was a chair wedged against the front door as I was tying to open it...
I reached in, moved away the chair and saw someone dart across my kitchen, behind the livingroom wall but, being an idiot, I entered anyway.
Seconds later, I was confronted by a (same words as yours) individual, wearing a handkerchief on his face, pointing my own 357 at me! That MF'r had to have cased me for sometime and known exactly when I'd be gone. Only reason I went home at that time, waterpump just let go in my Cutlass and I was 5 minutes away.
He pointed straight at me from 10-15 feet away and yelled, "Freeze!". I wasn't sure if he'd loaded up but I didn't want to know so I froze and then backed away slowly, telling him, "OK, OK, whatever..." as I was leaving...
I closed the door behind me and ran AFAP to a neighbor, whom I knew was home, to call the boys... those days, a cell phone was a 'bag phone' in your car! As we were on the phone with the COP's, I saw him running away to the woods, jumping like a deer over everything. I hollared out at him something about the cops coming and he dropped the bag of goodies he was carrying.
When I retrieved the bag, I found it had my CD's, tapes, rounds and all my girlfriend's underwear; f*cking pervert!
So yeah, I've been attacked too. It sucks! I moved all my **** out that very day and never returned.
Suffice to say I will NEVER be unprotected, like that, again. Wifey thinks I'm kinda over the top when it comes to protecting our little family but she's never faced down the barrel...
You'll get over it, bro. And, God forbid, if it ever happens again I think you'll be even more level than this time. And you showed some mighty restraint!
God blessed you. Stay safe.

I had a situation a couple of weeks ago at 3:00 AM on a Sunday morning. I was totally crashed when I hear my Shepard MUTT barking his *** off and then my screen door slams shut. I get up and I'm thinking what the puck someone is trying to get into the house. The dog is still at the door barking his *** off. I look out the front window and there are 2 guy's by my wife's Lincoln and another by my front door (I will not mention race either). I open the front door with the dog in hand and the two by the car take off running. The one by the front door turns to look at me as I say "Dude do you know what punking time it is?" I really had no clue as I said I was crashed but I to have a family. I wounder if they were looking for a party or casing the joint? Never the less I love my dog for just that reason. If they had come in the house I do not know what would of happened. In your situation it's hard to say what to do but if that's all he wanted was some money then it might have been best to just give it to him. People just suck get a job!!!!!! Glad you two are still standing. Vince

I had a situation like that last year when i was in the garage of a friend of mines house around 4:00AM changing a head gasket and he isn't in the best neighborhood in the world so i had my .380 and suddenly these two mexican run into the garage and grab my friend and put a knife to his neck and the other one jumps in the car (which as i mentioned earlier is missing a head) and i pulled my .380 and pointed it back at the guy and shot him in the shoulder and then when he fell i was ontop of him with the gun in his head and his friend had left in one hell of a hurry. and within 2 minutes all the neighbors came over to see the comotion cause that .380 is loud as ****. and the cops were there 5 minute later and long story short the MF'er is in for 35-50 years for attempted armed robbery and assault with a deadly weapon. plus he was wanted on 15 or so warrants. I got off with no charges. and to this day i still carry my little .380 it really sucks to be in that situation but its better t be prepared.

Glad to hear you're ok Nonnie! Whether you shot or not, you and your buddy are still alive, and that's what is important. I bet you won't think twice next time though.

nonnieselman,
You showed alot of restraint. I don't know if I would have shot them but, I would have shot up their car to make it easier to identify later or disable it. Leaving a few rounds in case the got out and came at me of course. Then they would have died in my yard, and I would grab a Marlboro and wait for the cops.
