Is that truck really blowing the tires off enough in 2wd to actually need to launch in 4? I'd just feather it out alittle bit until I bought a set of drag radials for the back.

This happened to my friends lifted DMAX[about 500 hp and 1000 ft lbs. of torque at the wheels and 6" lift with 35"/13.50" tires] and all other DMAX diesels I know that boost launch in 4wd.It is actually the stock tie rods and center link on the steering bending under all the power. My friend put Cognito's tie rod ends and support brackets on his.It launchs totally straight now. There are cheaper fixes such as, Fabtech's tie rod sleeves.

You can go to dieselplace.com and do a search on tie rods and you'll find all kinds of info. on this.

A truck that has the torsion bars cranked up as high as you do has almost no downtravel on the front suspension. This makes for a really harsh weight transfer onto rear making the truck bounce front to rear. Because you have no downtravel in the front, when that weight does transfer to the rear, you front end goes severly positive camber-this is why it looks like you are riding on the outside edge of your tires.
