When you guys are launching in 4wd, do you leave it in 4wd for the entire run? Or are you using 4auto or what? I considering putting a part time 4wd TC in my Explorer from a Navigator(much stronger), but I am not sure about running the whole 1/4 mile(>100mph) in 4hi. Would it get squirrly at high speeds?

When I run in 4 hi, I stay in 4hi all the way. It doesnt really matter anyway, as long as theres tension on the drive train, it wont fully un-engage anyway, so just because you shift into 2wd the truck doesnt necessarly go into 2wd if you understand what I mean. If you want proof, drive in 4wd for a while, turn into a parking lot, while still under light throttle but going slow, shift into 2wd and make a sharp turn and see if the front tires bark.
