Default Sig Pic Size

Ok the first sig pic I put in my sig yesterday I knew was too big and planned on resizing it. The second one I put in my sig had a pixel count of 68554 and the defined limit has a pixel count of 75000. If I understand the reason for sig pic size limitation is for increase page load speed correct? My sig pic was smaller than the defined limit in size. It is narrower than the limit but just a little bit bigger in hieght. Just wonderin why it was edited again when it is actually a smaller file than the defined limit. Im going to get me one of those cool sig pics with all the bs photoshopped in after my neigne rebuild and rims so its no big deal jsut wonderin.

Here is the actual image if one of the mods looks at this and wasnt the one who edited my sig pic.

It might have been one of the mods on LS1Tech that edited the sig. Since we have a shared user database that is possible.

You're right about the picture size being what it is to help load speed for people on slower connections. The actual pixel width/height limit is there also to keep people from having huge pictures that make the page bigger than the screen or make threads very long to scroll through.

The picture may have just been a little bit bigger than the limit but, a limit is a limit. The best I can tell ya is to resize the pic so that the biggest dimension it has is right at the limit otherwise it's at risk of being edited.

Na I wont use that pic then cause it would look funky as hell scretched sideways. The piston would look like a shiny maxi pad

Sig check

Yeah that looks alright not too bad. My damn photobucket is getting full and I havent even take any other pictures of the new setup yet. You happen to know the size limit on photobucket cant find anything in their links.

How do you get your own server or whatever to where you can host your own videos? I will have alot of videos here shortly of me playing around with the new setup and races and stuff and well the pt.net video deal sucks cause it takes waaaayyy too long to optimize. I realize but Im impatient

If you want to host your own vids from your own website it'll cost $$$$. Thats why most people just put them on putfile.com or even our own video hosting. Thats also why those videos never look that great, It's an effort to cut down on bandwidth.
