Default Post count doesn't update

Mods my post count hasn't updated for the last 20 or so posts it seems. I have noticed it before where it doesn't update but now it is doing it consistently. Any ideas or reasoning behind this?

EDIT: looks like it updated for this thread posting but it had been stuck on 599 for awhile

Posting in certain sections does not contribute to your post count. Regional and sales sections for example.

No one knows like the post *****. My bad...super post *****. At least u don't have an Element, Bill. Nonetheless, I still learned something here about posts not tallying up on all threads.

The reason behind that IMO, is so that post whoring doesn't tally a large post count. Only be sharing or helping others can your post count increase.

Another reason for the post count not updating in certain sections is so that people can't rack up 50 easy post in order to get in the sales section. It requires people to somewhat participate on the site in order to sell.
