i like how you can see how many people are viewing a section but what about showing the people viewing the threads. like at the bottom of the thread it would list however many people are viewing the thread and their usernames. just throwing an idea out there though. thanks for looking.

Those reports actually put more demand on the server and software. In order to help maintain site speed, we have removed a few items like that.

Guess we need more/bigger servers. This site is already draggin A$$ most of the time. I am forever getting "Technical Problem" "Please try your refresh button" screens. Mostly at night when I'm sure traffic increases.

I haven't had near as much trouble here, as I have over on tech lately, I can't hardly see anything there with all the "Technical Problem" "Please try your refresh button" screens I get.

Supposedly the system is limited by the software not the hardware. Maybe pt.net and tech should be split up?

PT.Net probably cant afford to separate. Look at our sponsor list and then look at LS1 tech list. It's like 5 to one. Unless we all pay $5 a month to keep our user names.....ummm, forget I said that!

pt.net is digging into the pocket book of tech anyway. Give this site another year and it will be 3 times the size. There are so many new users on here everytime I get on here. If we keep being helpful to the noobies so they will stay here and other brands come over then this site will be like tech(size wise) and be full of info and be self-sufficient(money wise)

Let me give you my address and who to make the check out to....

It was already hit on early. It really isn't a hardware problem just the software both sites run on that really causes havoc when alot of users get online. Splitting the two sites completely has been brought up but, was deemed unnecessary once Brains gets the VB software hacked up where more robust database software can be used.

Maybe once the new software stuff is done we can think about bringing back some of the perks like the one in this thread.
