Question hunting help

im new to this forum and hunting help !!!!!!! I have an 08 chevy silverado 1500 with the 5.3. I want to put a bigger cam in it but also want to keep the cylinder shut down for fuel milage. Im lost i called several cam dealers and nobody seems to make one any sugesstions ?

Well, deer season is over in most places. I know it is here in Alabama. You can probably still shoot squirrels and rabbits. You gotta wait till spring on turkeys though.

I don't think the cam really matters on that. It's the tune.

Even so you are gonna want a baby cam. Say something like the "ole man" cam.

Now that I"ve stopped laughing about the hunting part.

You'll want a small cam and what your talking about is DOD (Displacement on Demand) it shuts down a few cylinders while cruising. But that's all in the tune.
If you do a search you can search for DOD

3rd result is a thread that says Who HAS done a cam swap on NNBS
