I just looked a little longer and apparently it's because PT.net is a member of the Post Release network, which rotates ads through permanent posts on forums. I wish they'd stay in the general sections though instead of putting them in the GMT900 section, for example.

I haven't seen a ford thread yet, but the motor trend or the other advertisers posting random ads is annoying. That being said, they pay for the site, so I can live with it

I don't mind ads, but this advertisement clearly states, "Hey.. find out why this 15 years chevy veteran goes to buy a f-150" ... like wadaaa f?
