Enough general forums?
#1
I had a question on a B&M cooler that I ended up posting in the GM Engine & Exhaust Performance section (see the post here), simply because I didn't see a forum in the TRUCK PERFORMANCE AND GROUP DISCUSSION that was applicable. It wasn't 'Internal Engine', it wasn't 'Forced Induction', it wasn't 'Nitrous Oxide', etc. It really didn't fit anywhere, so I posted in the GM section.
I know the founders of this site said they wanted knowledge to be shared between different marques and platforms. This would seem to be the perfect type of question that fits the bill, since a tranny cooler is a tranny cooler is a tranny cooler. And yet, unless the Dodge and Ford and Nissan guys read the GM section, they may not benefit from (or be able to add to) the topic.
For example, I don't see a Drivetrain section, or an Exhaust section....sure, some questions in these areas are brand-specific, but not all of them.
Just an observation. Maybe we could look at the general forums and see if there are enough categories to encompass all the knowledge we could be sharing amongst ourselves.
Cheers!
