Default Deleting posts/threads

Why is is that sometimes I can go delete and entire thread that I started or post that I posted, but other times it doesn't give me the option?

A few weeks ago I deleted a thread that I started after it already had a few replies. This morning, I tried to delete this thread with no replies but I don't get the delete option. What's up with that?

I don't know for sure (admin will chime eventually)but I would guess that in the classified section you aren't allowed to delete threads, but in other sections you can.
