Red face Vho??

The RARE 2004-2005 GMC/Chevy VHO's should have a spot in here too. These were PURE performance base platforms, never advertised by GM.

Just thought it was odd they are not recognized in this section of this web forum....

Chevrolet use to run a prime time ad back in 04 for the VHO featuring a blue one going around a high banked race track . I heard at first they were only sold in the southern states like Texas , Oklahoma , Louisiana etc .

You're correct "Tx5Spd". Surrounding counties in LA & NM also sold a small # of these cool trucks in 2004.

I never saw that commercial though.

There was a similar truck also in 2004 called a "Spring Special". These were sold everywhere, but only had a 5.3L & only came in the dark Indigo Blue exterior color. A lot of folks get these confused with the VHO's since they had the same stance & wheels.

Localish to me a guy has one for sale..... it's an 05 GMC with only around 25000 original miles on it. He has it advertised as a 2wd Denali lol. When I talked to him he sorta knows what it is but why he calls it a Denali I will never know..... I guess because it's a loaded SLT lol. I mean you can even seen the Vortec HO door badges in the pics and all. I thought about buying it but he wants too much and really I would rather a 06-07 Vmax to get a 4X4.

Nope. He admitted he made that up all on his own, hence the why I never know statement. Guy was obviously lonely and told me his life story or the hour and a half he kept me on the phone. Wants like 17,500 for it now which is still too much, lol. It's been for sale for months and will continue to be for probably a very long time. The torn drivers leather seat bottom coupled with that low of mileage isn't a selling feature. Good old pleather.

In all honesty they don't even get that much attention on the SS site were they have there own section.

Did you guys see the Production numbers I found and posted???

Vho Research - VHO/V-Max General - SilveradoSS.com

As far as the 5.3L Spring Special goes, they were actually Dark Ming Blue in 04 but then you could get them in other colors in 05.

Dark Ming Blue is similar looking to Indigo Metallic Blue but if you see them both side by side you can see the difference in the tones.

The spring special's were 2wd trucks on a 4x4 torsion bar chassis just like the VHO's.
