Question Removing FUSES for performance??

Im not sure who it was but i someone said they had remove a certain fuse (#61 i think). not sure y but i just wanted to know if there was a power gain from removing certain fuses? or wat would be another reason for doing so?

never heard of that. i dont see how any power could be gained from a fuse

The theory is that pulling the PCM's fuse will cause it to reset adaptive learning or somthing like that.

Well not really. Let me see if this is what you're referring to...

On the TrailBlazer SS the TCS and Stabilitrak can be de-activated by pulling fuse #61. The TCS and Stabilitrak can be turned off by holding in the button on the shifter but automatically comes back on on re-start up.

No gain in engine horsepower but it stops the TCS and Stabilitrak from taking power away.

Maybe pulling that #61 fuse might have just been for that traction system... I thought that ss Trails came with the same buttun to turn it off like the ss silverado do.. I have an 06sss it's on the left hand side of my dash right above the light switch... huh??
