Just FYI, I just bought an 05 RST sierra with the 5.3 with 48k on the clock and only paid 13k.

 

I've got a 2004 gmc rst that I'm thinking of selling. It's red with 36k miles. Shoot me a pm if you're interested.

 

for that much I would just get a lone and build me a truck 19k plus the up grades your gonna do to it not worth it imo

The prices seem very high, but you're also trying to buying a truck in NC


I'd buy a 5.3 RCSB and drop a blower on it......... with $$$ to spare afterwards. Plus you get to avoid the theft potential of a truck with chrome rims and custom accents.

 

Prices will be high on either RST or the Gibbs because the nature of the truck. I picked up my 04 RST total (shipped) for 10k. I had to replace the spoiler and rear tail lights but well worth it IMO. It did have 70k on it. But otherwise it is in great condition. Buy an RST and a 6.0 and go from there. I really want to do a 6.0 but time/funds just doesn't seem to be there right now. Spring or summer I'm 95% sure it's gonna happen. Good luck on your search. eBay is where I found mine.
