no they say the 5 speeds cant handle the torque of the 5.3 . but its funny how joe gibbs sells a 4.8 with a supercharger and people do it all the time . i just think the 5.3 shaft or whatever the difference is on the 4.8 to the 5.3's is what stops them

 

Yea it sucks, you only get the option between 4.8 5spd or 5.3 auto

 

If I'm not mistaken after 01 all the cranks were short. Yeah, the 5 speeds & stock clutch obviously can't hold up to the massive tq of a stock 5.3.

 

your truck is what comes to my mind everytime i think about this lol . it can take near 500 lbs at the wheel , but not a stock 330 at the crank .

 

they are expensive but the sure look good.

 

but u can throw a 408 or a 6.0 in it

any negative to doing that . i was gonna have my buddy who works for signs now make me some . any RST guys have a problem when they went to take them off with fading or anything .
