It's going to stay a stock cluster for a while. I'll probably run the little display too.

I'm on to my next phase. Time to install the Holley HP EFI system I bought.

Started by taking some of the top end off just to make space.

Then removed the engine bay harness.

And here's that harness out and on the ground.

Next step, take any wiring out of this that I don't need. No more wipers, no hvac stuff, no abs stuff, no ecu stuff. This trims down to just a wire for the oem tach, the wires for charging system, starter, temp gauge, torque converter and vss.

Here it is stripped down to the barebones.

This is a bunch of the wires I took out of it...

Here is something I found along the way. My torque converter would never lock. This factory splice was broken.

New crimp

And some heat shrink

I got this simple adapter that allows me to mount my fuel pressure sensor to the fuel rail.

And here we are today, just getting that same harness covered back up in braided loom. This stuff came from Painless Wiring, it's very nice.

More to come soon!

Just about done with my Holley EFI install.

I've got a few more things to do but I think tomorrow will be the first startup on the new electronics.

I used the pink/black lead that feeds power to the ecu. Only one I know of that has 12v during cranking.

Was the old turbo the only reason you were burning oil? All your seals ended up being ok?

Nice work on the consistent runs.
