Header choices, best for price?
#21
I've owned both so I'm just speaking from my own personal experience, I had 2 different sets of Speed Engineering headers on 2 different F-Bodies and both sets rubbed in a couple places and that was just my experience, my last 2 trucks both had ARH headers and they fit perfectly, paying extra money for perfect fit was well worth it for me, regardless if others have had positive experiences with them I know their quality control will not be as good as Kooks or ARH and I would be much less likely to experience an issue with the "name brand"...GM uses ARH headers on the COPO Camaros, maybe instead of arguing with me you should go straight to GM and let them know they are wasting their money and should sign a partnership with Speed Engineering? There are plenty of members on PTs.net and LS1tech that have purchased Kooks or ARH because they are a nicer product made in America, but I guess we all wasted our money right?

i've had a few different brands of headers over the years Kook's, LG, TSP, JBA few others to i can tell you that MY TSP headers on my zo6 are horrible as for fit and finish clearance problems leaks not only from the flanges but from some of the welds
if your going to save money your better off with ebay headers then TSP honestly there about the same, im all for saving money a good deal is a good deal but from the problems and headaches i personally have with texas speed stuff (headers, pushrods & ported heads) i cant and wont recommend them to any one
i never used Speed Engineering so no input on them, kooks and ARH are nice quality and more impressive when your hoods open so if your a show & go type then they are a must i think
